When we were booking our flight a few months ago we decided to fly in on July 3rd so we could all spend the 4th together. Ft Benning was going to have a big celebration and we thought it would be fun to go together. Unfortunately we didn't know that they were going to do the celebration on the 2nd since it was a Saturday. Oops!!!!
It actually worked out great, though. We went to the pool in the morning, the boys grilled, we had cupcake kebabs for dessert, and had fun (for most parties involved... Eric may be scarred for life! hahaha) with sparklers in the backyard.
It was awesome to spend the 4th together!!!!

Oh man. I saw a lot of these on Monica's blog, but I enjoyed them all over again! Poor Eric. I'm sure Annika would have been screaming with the rest of the three year olds. Those cupcake kebabs look great -- how did you do them? Were they just mini-cupcakes and marshmallows? Please share!
