Happy 5th Birthday, Eric!!!!

I just cannot believe Eric is 5 years old!!! He is growing up so fast and is full of energy. He is so funny and crazy and you can count on him to make you smile. He is starting kindergarten in 6 weeks and I am not quite sure what I'm going to do without him home with me! I'm definitely going to miss that boy!

 

 

We did a very small "party" this year since the main attraction was swimming with dolphins. He asked for chocolate cake with chocolate frosting (AKA the same cake he always asks for! ;) The boy definitely knows what he likes!) and chocolate ice cream. Monica and the kids came over and they had fun just playing together.

We also decorated #5 sugar cookies, went to the beach, and just celebrated this awesome little man!

Here are 5 things you should know about Eric:

1- He is VERY active. Whether it is running around the house, wrestling, lightsaber fighthing, jumping up and down, running around the beach, etc... this boy is almost always on the move! He keeps us on our toes and is a ton of fun to be around!

2- Anya is hands down his favorite person in the universe. He loves his sister so much! Now, don't get me wrong, he still bugs her and will push her buttons (they are siblings after all!) but his love for her is something else. He says he wants to marry her even though we tell him he can't. He says he just wants to always be by her. He doesn't like when she is at school all day and he loves when she has breaks.

3- He loves anything Star Wars or superhero. You can usually find him lightsaber fighting, playing with his Star Wars card game, or dressing up and fighting like a superhero.

4- He is strong willed and determined and smart. He knows what he wants and he goes after it. While this sometimes results in a battle of the wills at home, I know these are traits that are going to serve him well as an adult. He is going to make a great leader! He is also sweet and caring. He apologizes when he is wrong and genuinely feels bad if he hurts someones feelings.

5- He wants to be just like Nathan when he grows up. He admires him and says he wants to be a soldier just like Daddy. His face lights up when he plays with Nathan and he definitely looks up to him. They have so much fun together! He also wants to be a ninja and a Jedi when he grows, but that's a whole different story! hahaha
