I have never watched a solar eclipse so you can imagine how excited I was that we were going to be able to view it in El Paso! The kids were super excited, too! We had a lot of fun making pinhole viewers and we were able to get a few shots of the eclipse, too! It was really cool when the moon centered on the sun and it got darker and the temperature dropped. It was awesome!
There will be a partial eclipse in Hawaii next May so I am going to be more prepared and buy some eclipse glasses so we can stare straight at it! :)
Anya and Eric waiting for it to begin (the wind was blowing
Anya's dress like crazy!)
Nate showing Eric how the pinhole viewer works
Anya's pinhole viewer
A picture from the pinhole viewer... the moon is eating the sun! :)
What a totally awesome experience!!!
