Thirty

Yesterday I turned 30. THIRTY. I remember when Nathan turned 30 and I was thinking that turning 30 wasn't too bad. Then a couple years later I turned 29 and started the typical "Oh gosh... I'm going to be 30 soon". But then something unexpected happened about 2 months ago. I started getting excited about turning 30. Not just excited, kinda giddy. It was (and is!) weird... but I was embracing it! It feels good to be 30!!!

I had an amazing day, too! I woke up to two very excited kiddos who couldn't wait to show me what they had been working on. I got a lot of cuddles plus an amazing breakfast made by Nathan. I was then politely kicked out of the house so they could work on a cake for me. :) I went out for coffee (welcome back Pumpkin Spice Latte!!!!), pedicures, lunch, and Bahama Bucks (YUMMMM!) with my good friends Lesa & Mandy (and baby Isabel!). We had SO much fun together!

When I got home I was greeted with a delicious cake... chocolate cake with Nutella filling and peanut butter Nutella buttercream. The kids were so proud of their creation and I gotta say... it tasted AMAZING! Kudos to Nathan for being such an awesome baker! :)

After we had some cake we went out to a fun place called "At the Clayground". The kids picked out a large platter and painted it. I can't wait to pick it up next week and see the finished product! I know it will be something I will treasure for years!

We finished the day with pizza at Ardovinos and then came home, put the kiddos to bed, and watched something I wanted to watch all day... FRIENDS! Specifically, The One Where They All Turn 30. HILARIOUS!  :)

It was a perfect day and I am so thankful to have such awesome family and friends (near & far)!
My love

Pedicure time

Yep... still got a pedi even with a broken toe! The lady
was really nice and just worked around it! :)

Me, Lesa, and Mandy at Bahama Bucks. Lesa, I'm
not sure if I should thank you or hate you for telling
me about this place. SO GOOD!

The kids were a TAD excited about the cake they made!

I asked for 30 candles....

Didn't realize what a fire that would make! hahahaha

YUM YUM YUM

Eric thought it was hilarious to keep the paintbrush

I'm so glad you had a great birthday. My favorite is how hard core you are getting a pedi w a broken toe. I still can't believe you've never had Bahama Bucks! Wish I could have been with you but glad you had a great day anyways! Love you!
