FIRST GRADE!!!!!

Anya is in 1st grade!!! How is that even possible? She is growing up so fast and I know I should accept that fact but it still shocks me every time she hits a new milestone.

Anya was THRILLED to start school. She came running into my room at 550 shouting "It's my first day of school!!!!". She was all smiles and was excited to meet her teacher. She even told me, "Mom, I've always dreamed of being in a number grade!".

Her teacher is a great fit for Anya. She teaches above the first grade curriculum so that will help Anya. I'm sure there will still be things that are easy for Anya but it helps that the teacher is already doing more than normal. Plus, Anya will start her GT class next week so that will be good!

When I picked Anya up from school she was excited! I could see it on her face and I said to her, "Oh, I'm so glad you had a good day!". She said to me, "I didn't have a good day. I had an AWESOME day!".

So, so, so proud of my little girl. Can't wait to watch her grow through the year!

And then there are the twins!!!! Lexi started school 2 weeks

before Anya and when Monica posted her blog I about died with

laughter. Anya and Lexi both picked out the same dress

for the first day of school. No, we had no idea. Yes, they

picked them out with no help from us. AND... they both

said the reason they wanted it was to look like

zebras. They are so similar it is freaky! LOVE LOVE

LOVE them!!!!
